We are looking for an experienced and reliable Sushi Chef to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in preparing high-quality sushi quickly while maintaining excellent presentation and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail
- Handle high-volume orders during busy service times
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food handling and preparation processes
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated according to health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that highlight seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Manage knife skills efficiently to cut fish, vegetables, and other ingredients with accuracy and safety
- Uphold high standards of food presentation, quality control, and consistency in every dish served
Requirements
- Previous sushi chef or sushi prep experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling procedures, and kitchen safety protocols
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to prepare ingredients efficiently and safely
- Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team

Pay: $24.00 - $28.49 per hour
