Akers Packaging Service, Inc. is a leader in the corrugated packaging industry in the Midwest and are currently seeking a Finacial Analyst for a full-time position at our Middletown, Ohio manufacturing plant. .
Our organization is seeking a Financial Analyst who will work with the Akers CFO and Corporate Controller on a variety of accounting and financial analysis duties and projects. Recurring duties will include month end close responsibilities, account reconciliations and decision support and analysis for two facilities. The role will also support the company’s initiative in developing and deploying a business intelligence system and work with the CFO and Corporate Controller on key business initiatives to join our office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns, as well as developing reports and visualizations to present the results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and accounting and be able to effectively communicate the results of their work. Additionally, the successful candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets and have experience with data visualization tools.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze data trends.
- Month end close for two locations (Middletown, OH and Huntington, WV)
- Balance sheet account reconciliations for above locations
- Analysis and decision support for general managers and plant managers
- Combined role of either leading or supporting others in company initiatives including accoutning automation
- Assist corporate controller on establishing accounting policies and procedures
- consolidating plant results and support CFO with analysis on revenue, margin and spending
- Compile KPIs with trend analysis and visualization
- Create reports and presentations based on data analysis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
