- Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out position of shipment.
- Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
- Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors.
- Inspects material handling equipment , building warehouses and docks for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
- Directs movement of shipments from shipping areas.
- Compiles records of unfilled orders.
- Completes and submits driver information and payroll along with other requests from our logistics contractor.
- Monitors weight and shipping charges.
- Prepares bills of lading.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Maintains harmony among workers and resolves disputes.
- Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
- Adjusts errors and complaints.
- Communicates with customers to comply with their individual request.
- Must observe all safety policies and procedures, including Lock-Out Tag-Out policy
- Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management.

- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 20 lbs. frequently 20-35 lbs. occasionally, more than 35 lbs. rarely, over 50 lbs. requires team or mechanical assistance
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at desk in traditional office environment.
- Ability to work at least 75% of the time on site to facilitate collaboration with production facility.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in shipping management, preferably within the packaging industry or a related manufacturing field.
- In-depth knowledge of shipping operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Forklift Certification
