Shipping Clerk

The Warehouse Personnel will fulfill and process orders, accept incoming shipments, and oversee the general organization of the warehouse. 

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains an accurate running inventory
• Restocks supplies and inventory; places blanket and special orders as needed
• Enters purchase order data in the inventory control system
• Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy
• Records, reports, and returns defective items
• Processes invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping
• Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area
• Handles complaints related to shipments; notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues
• Take initiative to complete all required training, stay current on new and updated employee information available through the Company’s various platforms
• All other duties assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Exposed to work in manufacturing /machining area settings with exposure to oil, coolant, and metal residues
• Intermittent exposure to sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
• Primarily requires sitting but at times, requires long periods of standing
• At times, work is completed in a manufacturing facility requiring appropriate protective equipment at all times

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•  Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license for forklift truck
• Knowledge of warehouse operations preferred
• Must complete ongoing education and training offered on topics such as safety, job training requirements, employee informational documents, policy changes, etc…

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Lift and carry a maximum of 45 pounds
• Safely climb ladders
• Wear protective eyewear and/or other protective gear correctly
• Periods of standing, sitting at a computer, walking, reaching, crouching, twisting, lifting and pushing

Salary : $18 - $20
