Akerman is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join our Financial Services team in Orlando, FL on a temporary, six‑month basis to support the Financial Services Team by performing timely and accurate reconciliations of law firm trust bank accounts. Akerman has adopted a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform monthly trust bank account reconciliations.
- Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Encouraged to identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and adopt new efficiencies.
- Support documentation of improved procedures and controls.
Qualifications
- 3 years of prior experience performing bank account reconciliations required; law firm or trust accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
