What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Markets Associate Attorney position at Akerman LLP?
Akerman LLP seeks an Associate with 2 to 4 years of securities and capital markets experience. The ideal candidate will have experience handling preparation of Exchange Act filings, such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and proxy statements, representing issuers and underwriters in equity and/or debt offerings, and counseling public companies on disclosure, corporate governance, and SEC and stock exchange reporting and compliance matters. Additional experience in general corporate and transactional matters is considered a plus. This position offers remote and hybrid work arrangements, and can be located in any Akerman office, with preference given to candidates who would work in our Miami, Fort Lauderdale or New York offices. Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location is required. Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
