Akebia is seeking a Contract Recruiter for a six-month assignment. In this role, you will be instrumental in staffing key positions across multiple business units. You will partner closely with senior leadership and hiring managers to build high-performing teams, combining strategic guidance with hands-on recruiting expertise. You will help design scalable hiring processes, strengthen talent pipelines, and support Akebia in attracting top talent.
Responsibilities:

Identifies and engages qualified candidates while building strong networks, talent communities, and sourcing processes.
- Partners with contract recruiters and hiring teams to support large-scale recruiting and advertising efforts.

Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of electronic candidate assessment and recruiting tools.

May support, and manage college recruiting, affirmative action, and career development programs.

Specializes in technical recruiting and/or complex, highly specialized searches.

Tackles significant and unique challenges where assessing ambiguous situations or data requires sound judgment.

Exercises independent decision-making in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.

Builds and maintains cross-functional relationships and formal networks to drive alignment across teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of recruiting experience preferably in biotech
- Bachelors degree
Compensation: $60 - $90/hour
