The Compliance Specialist is responsible for tracking deadlines and coordinating time-sensitive regulatory and administrative filings for a growing residential real estate portfolio. This position’s primary focus will be managing property tax certiorari filings and ownership-related compliance matters, while also supporting broader compliance operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate high-volume tax certiorari filings, including signatures, notarizations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with biennial statements, conflict of interest forms, and other ownership-related filings.
- Track deadlines and proactively follow up by phone and email to obtain outstanding items.
- Maintain compliance trackers, records, and filing documentation.
- Coordinate with attorneys, vendors, and internal staff to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of filings.
- Support broader compliance operations including permits, renewals, inspections, and regulatory filings as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a confident, professional demeanor.
- Comfortable making frequent phone calls and persistently following up to drive action.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Prior experience in property management, compliance, legal coordination, administrative operations, or client-facing roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with DOBNOW, DOB BIS, HPD, Yardi/AVID, or SiteCompli.
- Experience with tax certiorari filings.
- Notary Public certification is a plus.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
