Duties
- Prepare a variety of salads, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, blenders, and refrigeration units safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting fresh ingredients and innovative salad combinations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment at all times
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with food preparation and safety standards
- Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and meal assembly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, blenders, refrigerators, and dishwashers
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members
- Background in catering or food industry roles that emphasize recipe adherence and quality control
