Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional product groups to design and improve innovative telecom products that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements
- Create production‑ready designs and drawings, applying structural, thermal, and aesthetic considerations while ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and efficient fabrication
- Coordinate documentation, packaging requirements, and part‑number systems, maintaining consistency and supporting inventory, shipping, and drafting teams
- Work with internal teams and vendors on make‑versus‑buy decisions, technical evaluations, sourcing options, and ensuring designs are not limited to single‑source suppliers
- Support manufacturing, testing, and field activities by resolving build issues, developing fixtures and processes, assisting with FAT/SAT, and driving quality improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field (required)
- 1-2 years of design experience, with FEA and/or Thermal Analysis experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of design for manufacturing preferred.
- 1-2 years of telecom industry experience preferred.
Salary: $75,000 base; candidates holding a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license may be considered up to $90,000
