Senior Design Engineer – Telecom

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering operations, including personnel management, systems, processes, and continuous improvement activities
• Build and lead a high‑performing engineering team capable of meeting and exceeding business demands
• Strengthen and enforce engineering standards, procedures, and design software capabilities to improve technical output
• Partner with cross‑functional leaders to drive process improvements and long‑term operational strategies
• Establish and track productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics while resolving issues through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions
• Lead major projects, guide continuous improvement training, optimize workflows, and stay current with design software advancements

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred) with over five years of leadership experience in steel utility structures or a related manufacturing environment
• Direct telecommunications engineering experience a must
• Strong proficiency in PLS‑Pole, AutoCAD, 3D design tools, and modern engineering software technologies
• Solid understanding of lean and continuous improvement principles, with the ability to identify workflow and cost‑efficiency opportunities
• Deep knowledge of engineering science, fabrication drawing practices, and applied math including algebra and geometry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail‑oriented mindset, and the ability to guide teams and drive results
