This Project Manager opportunity focuses on overseeing commercial construction operations from preconstruction through closeout across ground-up retail, light industrial, medical, office, and tenant improvement projects. Responsibilities:
• Manage planning, execution, and completion of commercial construction projects including ground-up commercial construction, site development, tenant improvements, interior renovations, and commercial buildouts
• Oversee full project lifecycle activities from preconstruction, permitting, budgeting, and scheduling through construction closeout and project turnover
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasting reports, cost tracking, and project timelines aligned with contractual obligations and client expectations
• Coordinate daily with superintendents, subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, architects, engineers, and ownership teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Lead subcontractor coordination, procurement activities, scheduling efforts, and construction logistics across multiple active commercial projects
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, closeout documentation, and project reporting throughout all phases of construction
• Ensure quality control, jobsite safety, and compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, and construction standards
• Monitor project performance and proactively address scheduling conflicts, cost concerns, construction delays, and operational risks
• Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, transparency, and project updates
• Collaborate closely with accounting, legal, procurement, and operations teams to support contract administration and successful project execution
• Conduct project meetings, maintain organized documentation systems, and ensure project records remain accurate and up to date
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, construction quality, and project delivery performance
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• 5 years of commercial construction project management experience required
• Strong experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects required
• Experience overseeing full-cycle commercial construction operations from preconstruction through closeout required
• Strong understanding of commercial construction drawings, permitting, building codes, construction materials, and building methods
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, forecasting, cost reporting, and project controls
• Experience utilizing project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, ProjectSight, or similar platforms
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple commercial construction projects and teams concurrently within fast-paced environments
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, quality control procedures, and commercial construction operations
• Valid driver’s license and ability to regularly visit active construction sites required
• Ability and willingness to work fully onsite within commercial construction environments
Preferred Experience:
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• PMP or CCM certification preferred
• Experience within commercial general contracting environments preferred
• Experience supporting retail, medical, office, or light industrial construction projects preferred
• Experience managing tenant improvements, commercial buildouts, and multi-phase construction projects preferred
• Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, inspectors, and municipal agencies preferred
