EHS & Quality Systems Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, safety, and quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, Cal/EPA, Cal/OSHA, FSC/SFI, and other regulatory requirements
• Create and update policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and certification compliance, partnering with operations teams and delivering training as needed
• Lead corrective‑action processes by investigating production issues, identifying root causes, and documenting effective corrective measures with department leaders
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, coordinating preparation, leading discussions, and documenting findings and follow‑up actions
• Support continuous improvement efforts through data entry, tracking, and reporting on improvement initiatives
• Manage compliance documentation, including sending, organizing, and maintaining required certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science preferred, or equivalent experience in environmental safety, quality assurance, quality control, or related management systems
• 3 years leading environmental, safety, and quality systems in manufacturing, with the ability to learn new processes quickly (paper printing or corrugated experience is a plus)
• Strong background supervising large manufacturing operations in fast‑paced, high‑volume industrial environments, with knowledge of California EHS regulations
• Lean‑minded problem solver with experience driving safety, quality, machine efficiency, and continuous improvement; Six Sigma exposure is a plus
• Excellent communication, training, and collaboration skills with high emotional intelligence and the ability to influence at all levels
• Highly organized self‑starter with strong math and computer skills (MS Office, production systems), able to work on the production floor, travel as needed; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
