Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and operational efficiency of maintenance supplies within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management, inventory control, and procurement processes. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing multiple functions including purchasing, budgeting, team supervision, and vendor negotiations to ensure seamless operations across departments. The MRO Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, streamlining workflows, and supporting the overall maintenance department’s objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversees spare parts inventory for all equipment, ensuring availability, accuracy, and strong policies and procedures across Maintenance and Refrigeration
- Improves equipment reliability by identifying cost‑effective solutions that boost uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and extend asset life
- Supports maintenance operations, including emergency repairs, vendor escalations, and building strong partnerships with parts and service suppliers
- Monitors and reports key KPIs such as inventory value, stock‑outs, purchase orders, maintenance expenses, and overall inventory accuracy
- Leads and trains MRO, Maintenance, and Refrigeration teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards and maintaining audit‑ready inventory areas
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of inventory management experience, ideally in maintenance within a food or beverage manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with NetSuite or comparable Oracle‑based ERP systems is preferred.
- Skilled in training and leading teams, with experience motivating and managing hourly employees in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable in inventory control and plant operations, including equipment, facilities, and maintenance workflows
- Able to work independently and collaborate across departments, with strong computer skills in spreadsheets, CMMS, inventory systems, and data analysis tools
