Responsibilities
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery
- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and key operational metrics
- Oversee inventory management for maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts to ensure availability
- Maintain regular communication with the Maintenance Manager to provide updates on equipment, machinery, and building system conditions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
- Industrial Maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as hands-on experience with equipment repairs
- Manage a team of mechanics
- PLC's
- Maintaining all manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
