FSQA Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversees all functions of the Quality Assurance Department.
• Ensures the department operates in alignment with the company's commitment to producing safe, high-quality food while supporting the organization's financial objectives.
• Responsible for ensuring that all customer specifications are met by guiding the development of finished products in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and food safety and quality standards.
• Verifies quality processes and product attributes by measuring production performance, documenting results, confirming operational and performance qualifications, and updating quality assurance procedures as needed.
• Maintains and enhances product quality by conducting product, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, as well as investigating and analyzing trends in customer complaints.
• Performs audits of company facilities, suppliers, and vendors.
• Leads and manages the food safety team, including organizing workloads and ensuring team members receive appropriate training and education.
• Ensures the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained, and continually improved, and reports its effectiveness and suitability to top management.
• Prepares and facilitates Food Safety, HACCP, and other management review meetings.
• Identifies, reports, and takes corrective action to prevent issues related to food safety, legality, and product quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Shift Engineer.
• Experience within the Food and Beverage industry.
• Safe Quality Food Certification.
• HACCP Certification.
• Experience with root cause analysis.
• Experience developing SOP's and programs.
• Experience with FDA/USDA inspections.
