Summary

The Agronomy Operations Manager will oversee daily agronomy operations, inventory management, logistics, equipment utilization, customer service, and team leadership activities across a multi-location agricultural operation. This role is responsible for maximizing operational efficiency, supporting sales initiatives, managing personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring outstanding customer service while driving safety, productivity, and profitability.

As An Agronomy Operations Manager, You Will

• Oversee daily operations, equipment utilization, asset management, and inventory control activities
• Lead and develop Sales Agronomists, Custom Applicators, Drivers, Laborers, and Administrative personnel
• Support customer order fulfillment, product delivery, and custom application scheduling requirements
• Manage inventory forecasting, purchasing, product allocation, and supplier relationships
• Monitor inbound and outbound product shipments, deliveries, and invoicing activities
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory audits, and month-end reconciliation processes
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for equipment, facilities, and fixed assets
• Coordinate logistics, product allocation, utilization, and service delivery activities across the operation
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while resolving customer concerns professionally
• Delegate responsibilities, monitor team performance, and support employee development initiatives
• Drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and productivity enhancement programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, safety policies, and company procedures
• Support accident investigations, safety training, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of Operations Management experience required
• Previous supervisory and leadership experience required
• Agronomy, agriculture, distribution, supply chain, or operations management experience preferred
• Strong background in inventory management, logistics, demand planning, and operational leadership
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship management skills
• Experience managing vendors, suppliers, and customer relationships
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software systems
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials Endorsement
  
  

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
