We are seeking a reliable and professional Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques as needed
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimize fuel usage
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including handling inquiries and ensuring satisfaction
- Assist with warehouse operations such as inventory management, stock movement, and order fulfillment
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload items safely
- Follow company policies for safety, security, and vehicle maintenance
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles
- Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods safely
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation skills for efficient deliveries
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is desirable but not mandatory
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on punctuality and safety standards
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively
