This is a high-impact role for a superstar operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands Amazon FBA rules and compliance inside-out, and can scale systems, people, and processes.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the COO, the Director of Operations will oversee the end-to-end operational framework of the business. You will be responsible for driving efficiency, compliance, and profitability while leading cross-functional teams and aligning daily execution with company strategy. This role requires a go-getter with strong leadership skills, sharp analytical ability, and a proven record of scaling operations in e-commerce.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as a core member of the leadership team, shaping operational strategy and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead and mentor operational managers across warehouse, logistics, vendor management, and customer experience.
- Foster a culture of accountability, initiative, and teamwork aligned with our core values.
Amazon FBA & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to Amazon FBA rules, policies, and performance standards.
- Oversee compliance with shipping, packaging, and returns requirements to protect account health.
- Proactively monitor account metrics, addressing risks before they escalate.
Operational Excellence
- Develop, document, and optimize SOPs for purchasing, returns, shipping, inventory management, and accounting workflows.
- Drive efficiency across logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring cost-effective and timely fulfillment.
- Negotiate and secure cost-beneficial vendor shipping rates and third-party logistics partnerships.
- Collaborate with software developers and technology vendors to fix bugs, enhance workflows, and scale systems.
Reporting & Performance
- Review and analyze KPI reports to ensure teams meet and exceed targets.
- Implement dashboards and scorecards for real-time visibility into operations.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve margin, cash flow, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Director of Operations, Head of Operations, or Senior Operations Manager in e-commerce (Amazon FBA experience required).
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, warehouse management
- Track record of improving efficiency, profitability, and compliance.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, decisive, and results-driven.
- Tech-savvy with experience working with ERP/marketplace software (e.g., SellerCloud, Shopify, or similar).
