Ajisai is part of a family of successful Sushi & Steak restaurants, known for quality ingredients, creative dishes, and great service. Our new location will continue this tradition, offering guests a fun and flavorful dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Teppanyaki Cooking – Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, and rice on a teppanyaki grill with precision and flair.
- Engage and Entertain Guests – Provide a fun, interactive, and engaging dining experience through cooking performances, knife skills, and showmanship.
- Maintain High-Quality Standards – Ensure food is prepared and presented according to restaurant standards, including portion control, seasoning, and plating.
- Ensure Food Safety & Sanitation – Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness of the workstation and grill.
- Interact with Customers – Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests, answering questions, and accommodating special requests.
- Collaborate with Kitchen & Service Staff – Communicate effectively with other chefs, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Knife and Grill Mastery – Demonstrate expert knife-handling skills and precision in grilling techniques.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Workstation – Ensure the teppanyaki grill and surrounding areas are consistently cleaned and sanitized.
- Adhere to Restaurant Policies & Procedures – Follow all company guidelines regarding cooking methods, service cycle, quality control, team collaboration, policies and standards.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or above
- Experience as a teppan or hibachi chef is a must
- Excellent knife skills and showmanship
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Outgoing personality and ability to entertain while cooking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
