Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Coordinate catering services for events and banquets, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere through effective leadership and communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in fine dining or restaurant management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management.
- Knowledge of food service management principles and culinary techniques.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and food production processes.
- Excellent cooking skills with a creative flair for menu planning.
- Experience in catering services and banquet preparation is highly desirable.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
