The Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary HR partner for the Tampa Bay and Lake Wales operations. Essential Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers at the Tampa Bay and Lake Wales locations.
- Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and company policies.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Assist with conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for assigned locations.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate interviews, background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Participate in career fairs and recruiting events as needed.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and questions.
- Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, ADA accommodations, Workers' Compensation, and other company leave programs.
- Partner with corporate HR and benefit vendors to resolve employee issues.
- Support annual performance review processes.
- Coach managers on employee documentation and performance improvement plans.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development initiatives with Training Manager.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with audits related to I-9s, personnel files, benefits, and HR compliance.
- Recommend updates to HR policies and procedures.
- Process employee status changes and maintain HRIS records.
- Generate HR reports and workforce metrics.
- Partner with Safety and Operations leadership on employee-related initiatives.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Bilingual Spanish experience required.
- Experience with UKG Ready preferred, but not required.
- Experience supporting multiple locations preferred.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws.
- Ability to conduct workplace investigations objectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel between company locations as needed including Venice and Fort Myers.
