NON-CDL Diesel Mechanic

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Based on experience.
Shifts available:

• First Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 or 6:00 PM, can vary
• Second Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 AM, can vary

We are seeking experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Repair or replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance services (oil changes, filter replacements, etc.)
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards
• Respond to emergency repair needs as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification preferred)
• 2 years of diesel mechanic experience (preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASE Certification
• Experience with fleet maintenance software
• Welding and fabrication experience
