We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Litigation Paralegal with 7 years of litigation experience to support our trial attorneys through every stage of the litigation process—from discovery and motion practice to trial preparation and post-trial matters. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage deadlines, anticipate attorney needs, and keep cases moving efficiently. This position reports to our Firm Administrator. As a litigation paralegal you will work closely with our trial attorneys to move cases efficiently through litigation and provide exceptional client service.
Key Focus Areas
- Manage litigation cases from inception through trial and post-trial with accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Contact clients to collect relevant case information and respond to client inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
- Maintain case file and ensure documents are organized and up-to-date.
- Track and calendar court dates and filing deadlines.
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings, interviews, depositions, and mediations with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
- Organize and prepare trial materials, exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
- Summarize depositions, medical records, and other case documents.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Support attorneys with legal research, case strategy, and trial preparation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the firm.
What We're Looking For
- 7 years of civil litigation paralegal experience (required); plaintiff’s personal injury experienced (preferred)
- Associate or bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate, preferred but not required if there is a substantial showing of on-the-job experience as a litigation paralegal at a personal injury law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Arizona civil litigation procedures, court rules, and docket management. Federal litigation experience a plus.
- Strong experience with technology, including case management systems, such as Filevine, and programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent drafting, organization, and case management skills for complex cases in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with attorneys and other relevant departments.
