What You’ll Do
- Oversee the full project life cycle from pre-construction to completion, ensuring all aspects of each project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including owners, general contractors, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams, facilitating clear communication and fostering strong working relationships.
- Balance multiple high-value commercial glazing projects, prioritizing tasks, and managing resources effectively
- Control project budgets, approve change orders, track costs, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, ensuring the professional growth of your team and the successful execution of their projects.
- Anticipate project challenges, proactively find solutions, and maintain AJ Glass’s reputation for high-quality, on-time project delivery.
- Ability to monitor project progress and provide timely updates to field personnel and management as needed.
- Lead the management of commercial glazing projects, ensuring specialized expertise is applied to each job, with no involvement in other construction trades.
- 8 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on glazing or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management is a plus, but we also highly value hands on experience.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in guiding, mentoring, and managing teams.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage high-level project execution.
- In depth Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and industry software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Pro DC, Procore).
- Sharp attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to walk, stand, or climb ladders for extended periods during site visits.
- Comfortable navigating active construction sites, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (project materials, plans, samples).
