AJ Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Parts & Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance facility and manage the inventory and procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment needed to keep our construction operations running efficiently.
This is a leadership position for someone who is highly organized, mechanically knowledgeable, and capable of coordinating maintenance activities while ensuring our shop operates at a high level.
Pay

Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the company maintenance shop
- Supervise mechanics and prioritize repair schedules
- Coordinate preventative maintenance for the company’s fleet
- Manage inventory of:
o Heavy equipment parts
o Truck and trailer parts
o Asphalt plant parts
o Aggregate plant parts
o Tires, filters, oils, lubricants, and shop supplies
o Welding, safety, and maintenance supplies
- Order parts and supplies while maintaining proper inventory levels
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when possible
- Receive, organize, and track incoming inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records and control costs
- Coordinate equipment repairs to minimize downtime
- Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Work closely with management, project managers, and field personnel to support daily operations
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in heavy equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel trucks, trailers, and asphalt construction equipment
- Experience with inventory control and purchasing
- Strong computer skills and the ability to manage inventory software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
