Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing workplace hazards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
• Provide training and guidance on safety practices, including CPR, First Aid, and emergency response procedures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes; prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for reducing workers' compensation claims and improving overall workplace safety.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation regarding workers' compensation law, EPA regulations, and industry best practices.
• Facilitate communication between management, employees, and regulatory agencies regarding safety issues.

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 Certification (Required)
• At least 2 years of construction experience
• At least 5 years of safety experience.
• Enforce all company policies and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Perform risk assessments.
• Conduct incident investigations and audits to identify and eliminate or minimize the chances of preventable work-related illnesses and injuries.
• Deliver safety training tailored to organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, and compliance status.
• Knowledge of OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, Safety Data Sheets, and chemical labeling requirements.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, EHS regulations, occupational health standards, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to effectively address safety concerns.
• Additional certifications in safety management are a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
