Aitkin High School is looking for a Long Term English Substitute to teach grades 7-12 for the 2026-2026 School Year.

Position Details

• Assignment Dates: Mid-November 2026 through Mid-February 2027
• Location: Aitkin High School, 306 2nd St. NW, Aitkin, MN 56431
• Grade Levels: 7th Grade, 10th Grade, and 9–12 English Elective Courses

License Requirement

Applicants must hold one of the following Minnesota teaching licenses:

• 7–12 English/Language Arts
• 5–12 Communication Arts/Literature

Job Description

Aitkin Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered English teacher to serve as a long term substitute during the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate must be able to work with students in grades 7–12 and build positive relationships while supporting student learning and engagement.

For this assignment, the teacher will be responsible for all 7th grade English classes, a 10th grade English class, and a couple elective classes
