Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards for physical education and promote student engagement.
- Teach a variety of physical education activities, including team sports and individual fitness.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Uphold school policies and procedures, including those related to student behavior and academic integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Physical Education or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with high school students is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and best practices in teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to engage in physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
