Location: Aitkin Public Schools (ISD #1)

The Aitkin Children’s Center is seeking a part-time Paraprofessional to support our Tuesday/Thursday All-Day 4’s preschool class.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children in a warm, collaborative early childhood setting.

Position Details

• Start Date: When filled
• Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:50 a.m. - 3:05 p.m.
• Duration: Position runs through May 2026
• Responsibilities:
• Assist the classroom teacher with instruction, activities, and daily routines
• Provide individual and small-group support to students
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Support arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal routines
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Two-year degree and/or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (preferred/required per district guidelines)
• Experience working with preschool or early childhood students preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and flexibility
