Summary
The Systems Engineer position will work within a software engineering team to maintain,
modernize, and develop new software applications. These systems include complex
manufacturing data collection and reporting solutions and an integrated suite of people
management software.
The candidate should be prepared to work within an agile, tight-knit team that focuses on
applying
best practices – including git, CI/CD, and continuous learning – to solve complex business
problems.
Position Responsibilities
- Developing new code features including applications, reports, scripts, and databases.
- Supporting existing features – with a heavy emphasis on refactoring for reliability and maintenance reductions.
- Work directly with business users to design and implement technical solutions and optimizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Technical Skills and Abilities
- ASP.Net 7 / Core framework
- Entity Framework Core
- MVC pattern
- Creating and consuming web APIs
- C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, T-SQL
- SQL, including data/database migrations and complex queries against large tables
- Basic knowledge – PowerShell, Python, MySQL
- Git (Gitlab)
- Unit testing
- IIS
- Basic knowledge – Windows Server, Linux
- Basic knowledge – IP/networking
- Basic knowledge, Active Directory/LDAP
- Ability to think “outside the box” to develop and implement new ideas to benefit members and the company
Education/Training/Certifications
- High-School education or GED, required
- BS/BA degree in CS or related field, preferred (Experience is considered as well.)
- Technical certifications are valued, but not required
Work Environment Requirements
- This is a fully onsite role.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
- Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget
- Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
