SUMMARY
Inspects received material for defects and conformance to required product specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
- Verifies conformance of the product to dimensional specifications.
- Release of material based on inspection / test results.
- Interprets basic engineering drawings.
- Effectively uses gages and measuring equipment.
- Records inspection data.
- Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Enters data into the computer for analysis and prepares graphs or charts.
- Verifies conformance to gages to calibration standards.
Qualifications:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports.
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical computations.
- Ability to interpret written communication.
- Capable of carrying out all assignments and maintaining the 5'S philosophy.
- Ability to understand blueprints and technical documents.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Understand SPC, Control Charting, FMEA's.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
