Position Summary

The Senior I HR Generalist serves as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to employees and leadership teams at the Franklin Logistics Center. This position is responsible for administering and enhancing key Human Resources functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, policy administration, compliance, training, and organizational development.

Franklin Logistics Center (FLC) is a 300,000-square-foot distribution and logistics facility. It is operated by AISIN World Corp. of America, a major global tier-one automotive parts supplier. Franklin Logistics Center serves as a crucial distribution and inventory hub handling overseas and North American components for AISIN's regional automotive production facilities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and supervisors, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment practices.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations concerns. Administer performance management, conflict resolution, attendance management, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
• Administer employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture and strengthen retention such as reward systems.
• Maintain and administer policy development programs including attendance, standards of conduct, etc.
• Identify labor costs and maintain workforce according to budget.
• Support Operations Management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Promote and ensure following Safety Compliance.
• Provide guidance to other AISIN Logistics Centers on HR processes.
• Drive for continuous process improvements that support operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with leadership teams.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts including candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, offer generation, and onboarding/exits.
• Oversee temporary workforce and work with staffing agencies to meet business needs.
• Enable a working environment where sharing knowledge and expertise is encouraged.
• All other tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in human resources.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Motivated, positive and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated understanding of core HR competencies – Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting and Retention, Talent Management and Organizational Development, Performance Management, Compliance, EHS & Risk Management, Change Management.
• Demonstrated success implementing HR programs, systems and initiatives.
• Strong business aptitude; specific industry/business experience preferred.
• Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

• HR experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or warehouse environments highly preferred.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• MBA or MS with HR emphasis a strong plus.

Qualifications:

Travel Requirements

• Approximately 5 %. Travel is not regularly required for this role. 
• Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
