Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee work of all maintenance members
• Manage time and scheduling of members
• Delegate and explain needed repairs to maintenance members
• Purchase parts and materials required for maintaining equipment and tooling
• Prioritize work requests for each shift
• Review member performance and make improvement plans
• Ensure work orders are processed in a timely manner
• Acquire material and information needed to repair, modify, or improve equipment
• Analyze, calculate, and interpret data related to downtime, hours worked, and PM activity
• Repair and trouble shoot machines when necessary
• Analyze new equipment and make plans to maintain or improve as needed
• Recommend spare parts for new equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan

Skills & Abilities Required

• 5-10 years in a tool maker role related to stamping
• Ability to manage teams across multiple shifts
• Ability to coordinate, explain, and assist in repair techniques
• Capable of conveying, interpreting, and understanding technical information and drawings
• Technical knowledge of company machines and processes
• Technical knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance
• Ability to analyze, justify, and recommend improvements
• Ability to maintain and improve the PLEX tooling asset tracking system
• Ability to troubleshoot mis-hits, zero shots and lot out issues with dies
• Ability to work with suppliers and negotiate timing, cost, and quality of procured components
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for contact with internal and external sources

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Related work experience is required
