Performs preventive maintenance on all die equipment to keep production flowing smoothly and avoid costly downtime. Sets up new dies and performs required maintenance on existing ones in a timely manner. Maintains accurate records of work performed. Operates forklift to move heavy material within plant.Job Description:
* Inspects dies for wear and damage after each use; makes repairs as necessary to maintain proper function.
* Cleans and lubricates moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
* Replaces worn or damaged components as directed by supervisor.
* Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and communicates any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
* Assists other departments with tasks related to equipment maintenance as needed.
Required Skills and Education
* Experience working with dies and other metalworking equipment is ideal.
* Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Forklift certification a plus.
