What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Equipment Inside Sales position at AIS CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT?

AIS Construction Equipment is the oldest Michigan-owned and operated heavy equipment company, proudly serving customers for over 60 years. We are looking for an Inside Sales Professional to join our Richmond branch.

This role is focused on helping our customers succeed by providing the right equipment, service, and support. You’ll represent AIS with integrity, build strong relationships, and drive sales of John Deere compact construction equipment, compact utility tractors, attachments, and AIS’s full line of used equipment.

The ideal candidate will live within 30 miles of the Richmond branch as this is an in-person position.

Responsibilities

  • Sell John Deere compact construction equipment, compact utility tractors, attachments, and AIS used equipment
  • Develop new customers while maintaining and growing existing accounts
  • Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend solutions that improve their profitability
  • Coordinate and/or perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and satisfaction
  • Partner with the Service Department to resolve customer concerns
  • Assist customers with financing options
  • Consistently meet monthly and annual sales goals

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2- to 4-year degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 1 year of face-to-face sales experience
  • Knowledge of heavy construction equipment (preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, energetic, and customer-focused personality
  • Strong sense of urgency with excellent problem-solving ability
  • Tenacity and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver results

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
