What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Assistant Lead position at Airy Pines Boarding Kennel?
We are a small family operated dog kennel and daycare business and looking for a reliable new team member to work 28 plus hours a week full -time . Starting wage is $11 to $16 an hour based on experience.
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Lead Kennel Assistant to work directly in the kennel while helping lead daily operations.
Schedule:
Weekday mornings 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM and or afternoon shift 2:30 to 6 pm
Weekend availability required (every other weekend or a Saturday or Sunday; schedule varies) example Saturday 7:00 am to 12:00 pm lunch break 2 pm to 5 pm .
Occasional split shifts or afternoon coverage as needed
Job Duties:
Hands-on daily care of dogs
Feeding, cleaning, and kennel routines
Supporting and guiding other staff
Maintaining a safe and clean environment
What We’re Looking For:
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes
Kennel or animal care experience preferred
Willing to take on a leadership role and work as a team member
Experience in this field is a plus, but willing to train the right person.
Team member responsibilities include managing dog play groups, feeding and administrating medication, cleaning buildings, picking up waste, giving baths, trimming nail, power washing and working outside in all weather.
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
