What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Teacher position at Airway Heights Christian Daycare?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team. This individual must be capable of encouraging young individuals in a Godly, creative, nurturing and stimulating environment, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires commitment to educating children through play-based learning and instructed activities, ensuring each child feels valued and supported.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe and caring classroom environment that encourages children’s curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their development.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to support each child’s individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s activities, attendance, and developmental growth.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom setting.
- Maintain a safe environment for all students.
*EXPERIENCE*
- Previous experience in preschool/daycare setting or related field.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
- Must be able to pass background check
- Training/courses in early childhood development
- Current First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne pathogens
- Continuing education through Washington state STARS - 30 hours
- Food Handlers Permit
