Job Overview:Airport Home Appliance is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Administrator to support the day-to-day functions of our shipping team. The role focuses on ensuring seamless administrative operations, inventory management, and supporting the logistics team in managing supply chain and delivery coordination. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the shipping team, including scheduling, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing product inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels across all locations.
- Order Processing: Oversee and process orders, liaising with the sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper fulfillment of customer orders.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipping data, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to inventory, sales orders, and shipping performance metrics.
- Customer Support: Handle escalated customer service inquiries related to product availability, order status, and delivery concerns.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the shipping team to identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve operational workflows.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and assist in maintaining a safe and organized work environment in the warehouse and administrative offices.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred).
- Experience: 2 years of experience in an administrative or shipping role, preferably in retail, logistics, or a related industry.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred: Familiarity with retail shipping operations, supply chain management, and inventory control systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
