Cashier/Barista

Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated cashiers/baristas to join our team.

As a cashier, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for our customers while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve providing amazing customer service with positive energy, manage customer orders, and ensure the cleanliness of the workspace.

As a barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, managing customer orders, and ensuring the cleanliness of the workspace. We would love to hear from you if you have an interest in coffee, matcha, and/or tea.

Cashier Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, front lobby, and restroom.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. This includes sugar levels, lactose intolerance, and allergens.
• Make sure customers feel welcomed upon entering the store and suggest recommendations if needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Barista Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and teas with precision and care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels such as ingredients and other supplies.
• Follow all operational procedures with precision and care. Measurements on recipes must be exact for every drink that is made.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Skills

• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and experience in the food service or food industry is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality beverage preparation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.25 - $22.00 per hour

• What is your availability like based on these shifts that we assign on a daily basis? 7:40 AM - 1:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and 1:30 PM - 7:20 PM.
• Are you available at least 3 days a week to work? This requirement is mandatory. Reducing your availability after being brought on will affect your employment status.
• In addition to weekdays, are you able to work on a Saturday or a Sunday? This is a mandatory requirement since weekends are the most busy.
• Do you have the ability to work at least 1 closing shift? This helps ensure fairness and balance amongst the team schedule.
