What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Foreman position at AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORPORATION?

Responsibilities:
- Plan, assign and supervise the daily activities of production personnel (mechanics, welders, painters, etc.)
- Manage weekly schedule for shop mechanics as well as test schedule for test stand, requires verifying shop folders created by order processing group and verifying materials have arrived
- Coordinate shipping schedule weekly with packaging group supervisor
- Recommend process improvements where needed
- Attend project kick off meetings for all fluid systems jobs
- Verify and maintain floor stock of materials, order through purchasing
- Coordinate with engineering and project management when problems arise on the floor, includes sending pictures and requesting drawing modifications
- Review and perform quality inspections of hydraulic units and manifolds
- Keep welding logs for shop mechanics to maintain certifications
- Track production efficiency, on time delivery and other production metrics as needed
- Responsible for overseeing all shop equipment preventative and repair maintenance
- Provide staffing and scheduling data to the Machinery Group Manager and Coordinators upon request
- Monitor and enforce quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean and productive work area
- Manage Fab/Controls schedule, requires weekly meeting with Electrical Controls department to address integration requirements and timeline.
- Ensure production and safety goals are met
- Provide technical direction as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Some secondary education, training or certification in a mechanical field is preferred
- 5 years of experience assembly practices of hydraulic machinery
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a machine shop environment
- Experience in an ISO environment is preferred
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Processes
- Experience scheduling and coordinating production workflow activities
- Experience utilizing computers and MS Office software
- Strong time management skills
- Welding experience a plus
- Electrical Assembly experience a plus
- Forklift experience desired
