What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORPORATION?
The Inside Sales Representative provides support for fluid power and/or automation, and/or motion control products. This position will be hybrid telecommuting with 2 days in the office located in Bristol, PA. The employee reports to the Inside Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to products, services, prices, availability, and/or order status via email, phone, and website
- Assist and advise customers in the selection of the appropriate product(s) and/or service(s) based upon the customer’s requirements
- Engage vendors to procure materials and expedite shipments
- Prepare quotations, process orders, and manage existing orders on the online platform first and foremost, and internal business systems only when necessary
- Work with all other departments to coordinate and assure customer requirements, and expectations are fulfilled, and conflicts are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer
- Support, interact, and work in tandem with members of the outside sales team to build and retain customer relations
- Make pricing decisions on demand when communicating with customers; responsible for communicating with pricing teams to maintain accurate information within each customer account in the business system
- Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by management and as listed in SOP
Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Previous experience in fluid power, industrial, or electrical distribution preferred
- Knowledge of fluid power and/or automation, and/or motion control products is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts
- Previous success in inside sales and/or experience in a technical support role is preferred
- Experience in purchasing manufacturing or technical products is a plus
- Excellent telephone personality with proven ability to maintain customer relationships
- ERP, Epicor P21 and B2B experience is preferred
- Highly proficient level of computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Capable of handling multiple high-pressure tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and self-directed environment
- Some occasional travel may be required for customer visits and training purposes
