What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Controls Wiring Technician - Second Shift position at AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORPORATION?
Key Responsibilities:
- Wire and integrate industrial machinery control enclosures for diverse industries.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, B.O.M./drawings, engineering prints/specifications, and verbal or written instructions.
- Lay out, machine, populate, and wire electrical control enclosures.
- Assemble mechanical and pneumatic components as required.
- Use standard hand tools, drills, taps, saws, knockout punches, and multi-meters.
- Verify work through continuity checks or simulated functional tests to ensure proper circuitry and operation.
- Operate a forklift when required (training provided).
- Assist the mechanical assembly team with aluminum extrusion structures.
- Support equipment installations, which may include daily and/or overnight travel.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical wiring, controls, or related industrial work preferred.
- Experience wiring electrical control panels; UL 508A experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical specifications.
- Experience with industrial hydraulic machinery. (Plus)
- Working knowledge of AC/DC control circuits, including single- and three-phase motor control, PLC terminology and function, and basic instrumentation.
- Understanding of electromechanical systems and functionality.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic communication (email, Teams, phone).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments under deadlines.
