Position Summary
The Production Planner is a technical role that requires strong collaboration, communication, and technical skills. The Production Planner will work across different software to evaluate orders, plan demand, and report plans to function leadership for AirLife’s Phoenix Distribution Center, our largest owned Distribution Center. This is an opportunity for an ambitious, technically proficient professional to further develop their production planning skills and use their strong personal skills to promote efficient distribution of life-saving medical devices.

Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- WMS experiencepreferred.
- Salespadexperiencepreferred.
- ERP system experiencerequired, experience with Koerber preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicatecomplexwarehouse problems and solutions to diverse audiences, specifically warehouse teams, corporate leadership, and other internal customers.
- Microsoft Suite experiencerequired.
- Demonstrated abilitycommunicatein a timely mannerin person and online.
- Experienceusing generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot,etc.) to enhance productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve quality of work output preferred.
- 0-2yearsexperiencein a technical, computer-based distribution or supply chain role.Experience working on a warehouse floor preferred.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experiencerequired.Bachelor’s degreepreferred.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Review order backlog and prioritize based on shipping deadlines, customer SLAs, and order types.
- Group and release picking waves using WMS or planning tools.
- Analyze historical data for demand planning and adjust planningbycustomer needs.
- Schedule order releases to balance workload across shifts.
- Prioritize ordersbycustomer SLAs, and carrier pick-up windows.
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisors toallocatelabor based on order volume.
- Monitor real-time order progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Re-prioritize or split orders as needed due to constraints (e.g., inventory, labor).
- Support continuous improvement byidentifyinginefficiencies in thepicking.
- Ensure waves are balanced by zone, carrier, and workload
- Schedule andmonitorpicking, packing, and staging activities.
- Coordinate with leaders in production to ensure planning adherence.
- Make changes inWMSandSalespadas needed to execute weekly plan.
- Manage several excel worksheets to keep track or orders fulfilled vs plan.
- Monitor key metrics like order fill rate and wave completion.
- Reportplanexecution tofunctionalleadership.
- Uphold and embody AirLife’s values in all aspects of work.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in daily work; look for ways to improve and promote quality & safety.
