Essential Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom metal components and fixtures to specification.
- Perform precision TIG and Laser welding on stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and mild steel.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and shop documents.
- Lay out, fit, form, and assemble metal parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project requirements are met.
- Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, woodworking, finishing, and production teams to ensure project success.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining Goebel's high standards of craftsmanship and quality.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the department.
Required
- TIG (GTAW) welding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Experience fabricating with stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and mild steel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Handheld laser welding experience.
- 1-2 year welding/fabrication degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience building custom, architectural, or fixture-based metal products.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
