Role Description

The Manufacturing Procurement role is a full-time, on-site position located in Westfield, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components, and services required for aircraft component manufacturing, from creating and tracking purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery to production. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating and maintaining supplier relationships, supporting contract negotiation activities, and monitoring inventory levels to align purchasing with production schedules. The position regularly analyzes pricing, lead times, and quality performance to optimize supplier selection and cost control, while collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve supply issues and support new product introductions. The role also involves maintaining accurate procurement records, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements, and contributing to process improvements within the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Procurement and Purchase Orders skills, including experience with order creation, tracking, and coordination with production.
• Candidates should possess Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation skills, with the ability to assess supplier performance and support favorable, compliant agreements.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data on cost, lead times, and quality to inform purchasing decisions.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments, with understanding of production workflows and material requirements planning.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with procurement or ERP systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, a related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements related to aircraft or industrial components is beneficial.
