We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards as well as learning to design the equipment we manufacture. This position requires a proactive, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Process optimization: Analyze existing manufacturing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Design and implementation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design and production, to develop and implement new manufacturing processes for product launches.
- Design Engineer in Training: Must be willing to learn all aspects of designing the equipment produced.
- Space layout for production floor: Design production layout for optimal throughput.
- Tooling and equipment: Design, procure, and validate manufacturing equipment and tooling to support new and existing production lines.
- Quality control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
- Problem-solving: Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues, such as yield loss, rework, and equipment downtime, using root cause analysis.
- Continuous improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Safety: Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in an equipment production environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, welding, and automation.
- Proficient with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing tools, fixtures, and production layouts.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process analysis and improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
