Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager at Airborne Adventure Park plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the general manager in achieving business objectives. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:
  • Assist the general manager in managing all aspects of park operations, including staffing, scheduling, and facility maintenance.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and company policies.
  • Address operational issues promptly and implement solutions to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Staff Management:
  • Train, and supervise team members, including cashiers, court monitors, and cafeteria workers.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to promote professional development and accountability.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, recognition, and open communication among staff members.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving guest inquiries or concerns effectively.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience, including managing wait times, monitoring activity areas, and soliciting feedback.
  • Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and discretion, seeking solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including reconciling registers, preparing deposits, and monitoring inventory shrinkage.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost containment, and operational efficiencies to maximize profitability.
  • Sales and Marketing Support:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Monitor sales trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product or service enhancements.
  • Actively promote membership programs, party packages, and other revenue-generating offerings to drive sales and customer loyalty.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA and local health department requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and activity areas to identify potential hazards and address safety concerns.
  • Coordinate staff training on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and other safety measures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the entertainment, recreation, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with staff and guests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Bend, stoop, and reach to perform various tasks, including inspections and staff supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with exposure to noise, bright lights, and varying temperatures.
