Local multi-family property owner is seeking an exceptional person to join our team as a Full -Time Property Leasing Coordinator. We are looking for an energetic person with an outgoing attitude and strong organizational/communication skills who can balance great customer service with strong follow-through. Potential growth opportunity. $19/hour. This position is located in Westland, MI.
What You’ll Do
- Greet residents and handle incoming calls
- Post payments and manage resident accounts
- Handle rent collections and follow-up
- Assist with leases, move-ins, and office tasks
- Support marketing and lead tracking
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly but firm communicator
- Comfortable discussing money and holding expectations
- Highly organized, reliable, detail-oriented and disciplined
- Prior office or collections experience preferred
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to follow directions well
- Computer skills, including Microsoft products
- Bending, kneeling, stretching, squatting, walking, and lifting up to fifteen (15) pounds, and lifting over fifteen (15) pounds occasionally
- Highly organized
- Firm, but respectful in all forms of communication
- HIGH accountability and follow-through/follow-up
- Comfortable with difficult conversations
- Thick-skinned, but compassionate and empathetic
- Ability to remain calm in highly emotional or confrontational situations
- Results-driven. This position will be responsible for the entire collections program
- Bi-Lingual
- Prior experience in a collections role in a residential or MH setting
- Familiar with Michigan legal process and eviction process
