Airband is a local wireless internet provider serving Logan and communities across Cache Valley, including Hyrum, Smithfield, Providence, Nibley, Mendon, Wellsville, and more. About the Role
We're looking for one person to be the heart of the customer side of our business. You'll be the voice customers hear when they call, the person who makes sure their problems actually get fixed, and the first point of contact for people interested in signing up. This is not a narrow call center job. You'll have real responsibility, and the chance to shape how a local ISP grows.
What You'll Do
Customer service
- Answer inbound customer calls and emails, and be the friendly, reliable point of contact for our subscribers
- Troubleshoot common internet issues over the phone (connection drops, slow speeds, router and equipment questions) and resolve what you can on the first call
- Coordinate with our field technician on issues that need an on-site visit, and follow up with the customer until the problem is confirmed fixed
- Handle billing questions, account changes, and service requests
New customers and growth
- Respond to new service inquiries, explain our plans and coverage, and get new customers signed up and scheduled
- Follow up with people who have asked about service so no lead goes unanswered
- Help with simple marketing efforts such as social media posts, local promotions, and our referral program
- Reach out to customers who have left or are thinking about leaving, listen to what went wrong, and help fix it
Technical support
- Learn our network and equipment well enough to handle first-level technical support confidently
- Assist with equipment prep, service scheduling, and occasional hands-on tasks as you grow into the role
What We're Looking For
- Strong phone presence: patient, clear, and helpful, even with frustrated callers
- Comfortable talking with prospective customers about our service and following up until they have an answer
- Self-directed and organized: you'll manage your own queue without someone looking over your shoulder
- Tech comfort: you don't need to be a network engineer, but you should have some technical know-how
- Reliable follow-through: when you say a problem will be fixed, it gets fixed
Nice to Have (not required)
- Experience at an ISP, telecom, or other technical service business
- Basic networking knowledge (routers, Wi-Fi, modems, signal troubleshooting)
- Customer-facing sales or account management experience
- Familiarity with Cache Valley communities

Compensation
$18 to $21 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in person at our office on US-89 near Wellsville/Logan.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
